Is this Electric Car Manufacturer Facing Bankruptcy Due to a YouTuber? The Incredible Story Unfolds!

Brands Brownlee, known as MKBHD, is responsible for the poor financial health of Fisker, the company that sells its electric car Ocean, especially in Europe. The story is not so simple, but the American manufacturer, on the verge of bankruptcy, reportedly tried to pressure the YouTuber after a catastrophic video for the image of the brand.

Marques Brownlee (MKBHD) is a very famous Youtuber, if not the best known Youtuber in the world. A few weeks ago, Americans tried the Fisker Ocean, a 100% electric car that is notably sold in France. But nothing went as planned. So much so that the video (viewed 4.9 million times at present) is simply entitled It's the worst car I've ever tried. It sets the scene.

We imagine that such a bomb triggered a wind of panic at Fisker's. It must be said that the manufacturer has been in a very bad financial situation for a few months and that the slightest slippage could send it straight into the wall.

Fisker tries to put out the fire with gasoline.

And precisely, a few days after the video test was put online, the dealer who loaned the Fisker Ocean to Marques Brownlee received a call from the manufacturer. The dealer filmed this call, which can be found on his TikTok account. The content is simply mind-blowing.

MKBHD reviews the fisker we have in our inventory and tears it apart! He calls it the worst car he's ever reviewed! In this video, I get a call from a Fiskers senior engineer to come and fix the car. #fisker #tesla #mkbhd

We hear a man who presents himself as a Fisker engineer and calls the dealer to get contact information for Marques Brownlee. He assures me that he simply wants to send a technician to update the car. But in this video, which has a duration of 6 minutes, the’engineer announces that the update 2.0, long-awaited, will not solve all the problems at Fisker Ocean. Qu’it will still require additional work on the software part.

This video, which has gone viral, has been viewed more than 6.1 million times since it went live. We contacted Fisker Europe to know the’avis of the manufacturer on the subject and to know if this call was authentic. The brand just told us, "No, no making a comment.

Bankruptcies in the viewfinder

Following the publication of the’essai video (on February 18, 2024), the price of’action Fisker has indeed drastically dropped. But it's hard to say if it's only the’effect of this video or also of all the bad news surrounding the’enterprise in recent weeks. A few days after the video, on March 1, 2024, Fisker released its (very bad) financial results. What also does harm during the’action?

Is Marques Brownlee responsible for Fisker's financial situation? Clearly, the answer is no. Without MKBHD, Fisker would have had the same financial problems. But it is true that MKBHD's essay must have had an impact on Fisker Ocean sales in the United States.

In Europe, the Fisker Ocean is sold. Not much, but it sells. There are a few dozen’ copies in France since the beginning of the’year 2024.

On our side, we''d tried it in'summer 2023, with one of the first versions of the software. In all honesty, this’ was one of the worst automotive tests that’on had been able to carry out, as we told’ at the end of our video. In question: the vision of’Henrik Fisker, in total denial of software problems.

Update 2.0 against bankruptcy

We will publish, in the coming days, an updated version of the’essai, with the famous update 2.0 supposed to solve many problems. But this one might have come too late. Fisker is already preparing for the next step, with a huge sale of his electric cars. What if the problem was not, in fact, opinions about the car and software problems, but management at Fisker? C’ is in any case what relates this rocambolesque story of uncollected checks.

We hope in any case that the’history of the Fisker brand will end better than’in 2013. Fisker had its first bankruptcy. Before being reborn from its ashes in 2016 with the form that's currently known as.
